In May of 2008, I started writing a new composition based on The Lord’s Prayer. I wanted to capture the power of that prayer, not as a peaceful, meditative chant, but as an epic world-changing declaration of God’s coming kingdom. I wanted the power of 100 men singing together.
13 months later, I finished mixing the studio recording. I’m thrilled that the APU Male Chorale will be debuting this composition. It’s a challenging piece of music, but I hope that these rehearsal tracks can help you learn the music more effectively.
Each track is split into two sides. The left side has your specific part, and the right side has a full mix of all the remaining parts. I suggest listening to the full mix for a few days first, to get a sense of the overall piece, then start rehearsing your specific part.
Click the link next to your part to download a zip file. That file has three things inside: (1) the full mix of the song, (2) a rehearsal track with your part split to the left ear, and (3) a pdf file of the score.
Thank you all for your hard work on this. I can’t wait to hear it performed. live.
